Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
(a) Account — name, email, password (hashed). (b) Search preferences — titles, salary floor, locations, work modes, industries. (c) Resume content you upload (PDF/DOCX) and the text we extract from it. (d) Leads we source for you or that you import/forward. (e) Billing — handled by Stripe; we receive subscription status and limited identifiers, not full card numbers. (f) Usage & device data — pages, interactions, IP address, browser/device, via analytics. (g) Communications — emails you send us and recruiter emails you forward to your PursuitRoom address.
2. How we use it
To provide the service (source, score, and organize job leads), compute your Resume-Fit score, send notifications and transactional email you've enabled, process payments, secure and improve the service, and comply with law.
3. How we share it — service providers (subprocessors)
We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Google Gemini and any other large-language-model (LLM) provider we use (scoring + extraction — this includes processing your resume text to compute scores), PostHog (product/usage analytics, which sets cookies and captures interactions), Stripe (billing), Resend (outbound email), Cloudflare (inbound email forwarding), and job-sourcing APIs (JSearch, Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and similar). Your resume content is never shared with employers and is not sold. We may disclose information to comply with law or protect rights/safety.
4. Cookies & analytics
We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. With your consent, we use PostHog analytics, which sets cookies/local storage and records product interactions to help us understand and improve the service. Analytics load only after you accept via our cookie banner.

5. Your choices & rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your account data, and opt out of non-essential email. You can export your leads and delete your account yourself from your account settings; for any other request, email ; we will respond within 30 days. California, Texas, and other state residents may have additional rights; we honor verifiable requests as required by applicable law.
6. Data retention
We keep account data for the life of your account and 90 days after closure; resume content until you delete/replace it or close your account; analytics for 18 months; email logs for 12 months; then delete or de-identify.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed; access is restricted; data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method is 100% secure.
8. Children
PursuitRoom is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
9. Geographic scope
PursuitRoom is operated from, and intended for users in, the United States. It is not directed to individuals in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other regions with separate data-transfer requirements; do not use PursuitRoom if you are located there.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date; material changes will be notified by email.
