We pull openings from across the job market into one place, score every one against your preferences and your resume, and help you apply with AI cover letters and tailored resumes — so you spend your effort on the roles most worth your time and get more interviews. It works for any job seeker, at any level, in any industry.

Anyone running a serious job search — early-career to executive, any function, any industry. The scoring calibrates to the preferences and resume you give it, so it fits a new grad and a CPO equally.

A board shows you everything and leaves the judgment to you. PursuitRoom does the opposite: it gathers jobs from many sources at once, removes duplicates, and ranks them by how well each fits you — then helps you apply. Fewer, better-targeted applications instead of an endless feed.

No, but it's strongly recommended. Without a resume you still get the 5-dimension Match score. Upload one and you also get a separate resume-fit score (with strengths, gaps, and recommendations), plus AI cover letters and tailored resumes.

Every job gets two scores, each on a 1–5 scale:

• A Match score — a weighted blend of five dimensions: Comp 25% · Title 20% · Scope 20% · Industry 20% · Location 15%. On Pro and Premium you can customize these weights so the dimensions you care about count for more.
• A Resume-fit score — a separate score for how well your uploaded resume matches the role.

You see both on every lead, so you can tell "this matches what I want" apart from "my background fits this."

No — and this is deliberate. Comp, Location, and Industry are scored by exact rules, not AI judgment, so they're objective and consistent. AI is used where nuance genuinely helps — Title, Scope, and the resume-fit score. You get the consistency of rules where facts are clear, and AI where interpretation matters.

We only surface leads worth your attention. A job has to clear every one of these floors, or it's filtered out:

• Match score ≥ 3.0
• Title ≥ 3 (a wrong-role job is never shown, even if pay or scope look good)
• Comp ≥ 3 (pay is non-negotiable)
• Resume-fit ≥ 3.0 — applied only when we have a confident, resume-backed fit score (so people without a resume aren't penalized).

Yes. Beyond the number, we give you an AI resume-match summary for each role — your strengths for it, potential gaps, and recommendations to strengthen your application — so you know how to position yourself, not just whether you fit.

• Remote (US) → 5
• A job in one of your selected metros → 5
• A job in a selected state but a different city → 4
• Anywhere else in the US, when "open to relocate anywhere in the US" is ON → 3 (admitted, but ranks below your preferred areas to reflect relocation friction)
• Non-US → dropped

With the relocate toggle OFF, jobs outside your selected states/metros (and not remote) are filtered out entirely.

Because Location still distinguishes where you most want to be from where you'd be willing to move. The 3 means "admitted, but not your first-choice geography." If you'd rather hard-filter to only your selected areas, turn the relocate toggle off.

It measures how close a role's pay is to your target:

• Range top below your floor → dropped
• Midpoint at or below your floor → 2
• Just above your floor → 3
• Upper half, toward your target → 4
• At or above your target → 5
• Comp not disclosed → a neutral 3

Setting a target comp (not just a floor) is what unlocks the full 2→5 gradient; with no target it degrades to "above floor = good."

You pick target industries and, optionally, industries to avoid (one 26-industry catalog, two mutually-exclusive lists). A posting in a target industry scores 5; an off-target one scores 2; if it's unclear or you set no targets, it's a neutral 3. Anything in an industry you chose to avoid is dropped before scoring. Like Comp and Location, this is rule-based, and it runs on every plan.

Yes — custom weights are available on Pro and Premium, so you can make, say, Comp matter more and Location less. The weights apply across every saved search. Starter uses the standard weights above.

We source from across the market — LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, company career pages, and major hiring platforms like Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby, plus broad coverage via Google-for-Jobs. Every lead shows its source, and we de-duplicate so the same role from three places shows up once.

Yes, and they're scored and tracked just like sourced leads:

• Paste any job URL (all plans)
• One-click browser extension — save and score any posting straight from your browser (Pro and Premium)
• Forward a recruiter email with a job link and we extract, score, and file it (Pro and Premium)
• Import a CSV of leads (all plans)
• Add one by hand (all plans)

On Pro and Premium, each lead can show an AI-generated "About this company" summary — a quick brief on the employer so you can size up the opportunity without leaving the app or digging through their site.

You keep it. We capture the full job description into PursuitRoom when the lead is created, so the details stay with you even if the posting expires or is taken down — handy for tailoring your application and prepping for interviews later.

No. PursuitRoom is built on the opposite idea — apply to fewer, better-fit roles deliberately. We help you decide and prepare; you choose what to submit.

Yes (Pro and Premium). For any lead, we use AI to generate a cover letter tailored to that specific job, drafted from your uploaded resume and the posting. You review and edit before you send it — a strong first draft, not a black box.

Yes (Pro and Premium). We use AI to tailor a version of your resume to the role you're looking at, built from your existing resume. You stay in control of the final document.

Yes — both the cover letter and the tailored resume are AI-generated from your uploaded resume plus the job posting, so upload one first.

No. These are drafts you review, edit, and send yourself. Nothing goes out automatically.

Every lead flows into a pipeline with five stages — Inbox → Shortlist → Applied → Interview → Offer — and you drag leads through as your search progresses.

Yes. A list/table view (all plans) shows dozens of leads at a glance, sortable by Match score, resume fit, company, comp, and location. Same data, two angles — board for triage, list for scale.

Yes (Pro and Premium add the full activity log & to-do list). Each lead holds notes, contacts, and a record of your activity so nothing slips.

No. PursuitRoom is subscription-based — every account runs on a paid plan or the 14-day Pro trial. Without an active subscription you'll be prompted to start your trial or choose a plan before using the app.

Yes — Pro includes a 14-day free trial. You get Pro free for 14 days, then it converts to $19.99/mo on day 15 unless you cancel first. A card is required up front, but you're not charged until the trial ends, and it's one trial per customer. Starter and Premium don't include a trial — they start as paid plans.

Yes — change tiers anytime through the billing portal (upgrades and switches are prorated), and cancel whenever you like. A downgrade keeps you running on the lower tier and never deletes anything — see below for exactly what happens to your saved searches and leads.

Securely through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Each tier sets how many saved searches can actively source: Starter 1 · Pro 3 · Premium unlimited. If you downgrade with more than the new limit, we pause the newest extras (your oldest within the limit stay active) — we never delete a search. So Premium→Pro keeps your oldest 3 sourcing and pauses the rest; Pro→Starter keeps 1. Re-upgrade and re-enable a paused search to bring it back.

Nothing is deleted. Your leads always stay on your account — a plan change never deletes, merges, or moves a lead, including the ones found by a now-paused search. Higher-tier features simply stop until you upgrade again. If you cancel, you can export all your leads to CSV first so you keep your work.

Yes. PursuitRoom runs entirely inside the app. We never post on your behalf, never auto-apply, and never touch your LinkedIn "Open to Work" status. Your search is visible only to you.

Your resume is stored privately and used only to score jobs and generate your cover letters and tailored resumes. We don't sell your data. We use privacy-respecting product analytics to improve the app.

New accounts confirm with a 6-digit code emailed at signup (15-minute expiry, with resend). You finish setup once it's entered. Existing accounts aren't affected.

From the account menu → Change Password. You'll confirm your current password; your session stays active.

Only if you want. The daily digest is a single email summarizing new top matches, and it's sent only on days new leads actually land. You can turn it off in Search Preferences, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

Yes. Deleting your account is immediate and irreversible — it cancels any active subscription and removes your leads, settings, resume, and profile. (Export your leads to CSV first if you want to keep them.)

No. Administrative access is read-only for support and audited; no one can post, apply, or change your data on your behalf.

A few capabilities are on the near-term roadmap: real-time alerts on top-fit roles, an advanced AI scoring model, search analytics and recommendations, and an AI negotiation assistant. We'll note each here as it ships.
