What Indeed is great at
Indeed is the largest job aggregator on the web — by most estimates 200–250 million monthly visitors — and it's free to search. If a role is posted almost anywhere, there's a good chance it shows up on Indeed. For sheer coverage at zero cost, it's a sensible place to start.
Where one board falls short
Indeed sorts by relevance and keywords, not by how well a role fits your goals and resume — so the ranking is generic and you're left scanning. At that volume the noise compounds: duplicate postings of the same role, expired listings that were never taken down, and "ghost jobs" with no real intent to hire. More results isn't the same as better results.
How PursuitRoom sits on top
PursuitRoom doesn't replace Indeed — it sits on top of it. We aggregate openings across Google for Jobs (which indexes Indeed's coverage and more) plus direct company career-page feeds, remove the duplicates, and give every opening a five-dimension Match score (title, scope, comp, industry, location) and a separate resume-fit score, each with a one-line reason. You get Indeed's breadth without Indeed's scroll — one ranked shortlist instead of a keyword feed.
